Lou Holtz's Pep Talk For Nebraska
It’s been a while since Husker Nation could
turn it’s lonely eyes to the Cornhusker basketball program
to cure the doldrums of a bad sports year. Lincoln, Nebraska is almost assuredly a football town. 40+ years of success will do that to a community. So it seems odd that Doc Saddler’s boys would be the team that many Husker fans are pinning their hopes on for some honest to goodness joy....
Despite the recruiting class nearly being full two
months ago, Bo Pelini and his staff have had
to almost start from scratch after Nebraska commits have been deserting the new regime at an alarming rate. Give Bo Pelini credit though, his staff isn’t quitting, and they are working hard to fill in the pieces with just over a month left until signing day.
The number one team in the land this
season is once again, USC. They have 18 returning
starters including pre-season All-Americans, QB John David Booty and tackle Sam Baker. On the offensive side of the ball, the Trojans are loaded with talent and speed. Senior running back Chauncey Washington will get most of the carries along with sophomore C.J Gable. Emmanuel Moody will be in the mix as well...

Bo Pelini’s recruiting class continued to shrink Friday
morning, as 3 star defensive end recruit Riley Reiff
announced that he was de-committing from Nebraska and was committing to the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Peterson out at Nebraska.
This is top ten week. We will be
posting plenty of top ten lists, in honor or
our first 10-0 start in football since 1899. 1899! Today isn't listing the most important aspects of this team, instead the biggest surprises that is allowing us to exceed preseason prognostications. 10) Justin Thornton Justin Thornton still hasn't started a game, so calling him a 'surprise' might be a bit of ...
After losing a game they should have won
against Western Kentucky, it was nice to see Nebraska
take care of business Sunday. Defense has not been a problem for the Cornhuskers this season, but consistency on offense, and on the boards has been lacking, and against a Rutgers team with good size on their roster, it was imperative NU hang with the Scarlet Knights in rebounds...
Remember when Bo Pelini’s arrival was supposed to
heal Husker Nation? Remember when once the last vestiges
of Bill Callahan’s stain on this program and this state; Nebraska would get back to what it does best, being the best football program in the country? So what’s happened? Why is it that the storm clouds have actually gotten darker, and fans seem more divided than ever?
Has Nebraska finally found it's runningbacks coach?
Following Saturday's Red-White Scrimmage, Nebraska's head coach only
hinted at what his decision would be regarding what
system the Huskers will run and who will start at middle blocker and libero next weekend. I think we ve got a plan for next week, ...
