I'm not going to poke fun at people
crying....wait, yes I am. Seriously UNC....you're 18 and 1,
why the hell are you all bawling after one loss? Come on. It's not even February yet and you're crying? There's no crying in Basketball! (One more ...

At what point is a lead safe enough
to put in nothing but the white guys? Apparently
the answer is when you’re up 40+ with under two minutes left. Observe UNC’s ghostly five: That would be Marc Campbell (#2), Surry Wood (#24), ...
By Chris Mottram On my way home from
work this afternoon I received an urgent message from
fellow TSBer Chris Littmann: "Dude, you gotta see ESPN News. Lavin's not wearing any grease on his head!" Or something to that effect. I missed the ESPN ...
Billy Packer's streak of Final Fours is over
after 34 years, The Miami Herald reported Monday. Packer,
a color commentator, will be replaced in CBS' coverage by studio analyst Clark Kellogg, network representative Leslie Anne Wade confirmed to the ...
While my forte is the NBA , I
am an equal opportunity cartographer. The NCAA tournament provides
endless routes for creativity; there has been more great stuff in the blogdome this week than ever before. Allow me to add a bit of visual stimulation to the mix; if you like what you see, crank that hype button. (And pick Cornell over Stanford, lest you invoke the wrath of Andy Bernard.) ...

Now that head coach Butch Davis and his
staff are out on the recruiting trail I felt
it was time to look at the past season and offer my thoughts on the year that was.
At 7 feet 7 inches and 360 pounds,
some things come easily on the court for North
Carolina-Asheville center Kenny George. But such size does bring serious drawbacks.
Via VOL NATION , WBIR-TV in Knoxville checks
out the latest SI issue , and discovers Dan
Patrick and Bruce Pearl engaged in a little one-on-one. (An interview, that is, not a pick-up b-ball game - although seeing those two face off on the court would be highly entertaining.) Anyway, Patrick volleys an assortment of questions at the Volunteers coach, from his oh-so-brief time at #1, to ...
So I had me a little fun with
one of those South Park character generators. Aren't they
adorable? And don't mind Coach Calipari there on the left. He didn't get his respect today.
North Carolina State
I have said this many times: North Carolina
fans are sometimes very spoiled. Well, today I was
surfing around the net reading about my Heels when I found this article by one of the people I admire the most when it comes to UNC, Adam Lucas. If you’re a Tar Heel fan you need to take a minute or two of your time and read this article because, at least for me, it put things in perspective.
Roy Williams post game interview with Bonnie Bernstein
of CBS. Asked about North Carolina coaching job after
KU loses to Syracuse in the 2003 NCAA national ...
Tyler Hansbrough will soon take his place among
a select group of North Carolina basketball greats. He
will become just the 8th Tar Heel to have his jersey retired. I can't help but think this is all a bit premature and should have waited until after the season.
Roster Magazine's March issue is dedicated to the
NCAA tournament. Check out profiles of all 65 teams,
the top five players by class and our six featured columns. This feature: Mario Chalmers, Kansas; Jamont Gordon, Mississippi State; Tyler Hansbrough, North Carolina; Marcus Landry, Wisconsin; Sam Young, Pittsburgh
I just saw this and knew I had
to put a link up for you guys. Hat
tip to the Duke Basketball Report , which is where I first saw this link. The NCAA has a rule that television stations can’t show highlights of tournament games until the games for ...
I should have reported this a while back
but even though it’s late, it needs to be
talked about in a small blog. While the rest of the UNC football team seems to be moving in the right direction and have gelled and are following the coaching staff, there will be two players next season will not have that oppurtunity.
Right after the game finished between number one
ranked North Carolina (9-0) and Rutgers (7-4), where the
Heels beat the Knights 93-71, my first thought was to get on the computer and bash the refs, the bad calls, the hard fouls by Rutgers and anything/everything else I could.
