McCoy, playing his final home games, improved to 43-7 in his career as a starter, breaking the record he shared with former Georgia quarterback David Greene (2001-2004).

In their 2008 matchup with the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Oklahoma Sooners scored their first touchdown six minutes into the game. It marked the first of nine scores in a 65-21 victory . In Saturday's 41-13 Tech win , OU picked up its only touchdown of the game in the 53rd minute. With one game remaining in a frustrating season, the embarrassing beatdown suffered in Lubbock showed that OU's offensive about-face from last year is all but complete. Think of it as about a 165-degree turnaround—heading the wrong way, of course. A drop-off in production from last season's prodigious totals wouldn't have been shocking, especially given all the offensive talent standing on the Sooners' sideline. Still, who could have foreseen such a dramatic collapse? The vaunted Sooner defense certainly deserves its fair share of the blame for Saturday's boondoggle. With the Big 12 South wrapped up and Texas pretty much penciled into the national championship, I felt the need to supply Bleacher Report with a look to the future. The Big 12 South in 2010 will see a changing of the guard as Texas will lose the winningest QB in NCAA history, assuming he gets by the rest of their weak schedule (news flash...he will). Texas' fall from grace will not be that far, given the still dominant recruiting of Mack Brown. According to Scout.com, OU and UT are No. 1 and 2 in the 2010 recruiting class, respectively. Other appearances in the top 25 are Oklahoma State at No. 10, Texas A&M at No. 13, and Texas Tech and No. 22. The most conceivable path to this game involves Texas losing to Texas A&M at Ryan Field, but still winning the Big 12 Championship game, while TCU wins out, but falls short of making the national championship because of being hopped by Cincinnati or a one-loss team like Georgia Tech. The Aggies have held a strange power over Colt McCoy in his four-year career with the Longhorns. Along with the Kansas State Wildcats, A&M is the only Big 12 team against whom McCoy has a losing record (1-2). The Detroit News reported that the Michigan program in 2008 failed to file required logs used to keep track of how many hours players practiced and worked out. An internal university audit revealed the CARA (countable athletically related activities) logs—which the university uses to stay in compliance with NCAA rules—were missing. The NCAA, of course, is investigating allegations made by players that Rodriguez and his staff worked players beyond the NCAA's 20-hour limit. Texas freshman kick returner D.J. Monroe has been charged with drunken driving after a overnight arrest. Monroe was arrested on Interstate 35 and taken to the Hays County jail, said Lt. Ler oy Opiela of the Hays County Sheriff's office. He was released Sunday morning after posting $3,000 bond. Opiela said he did not have details of the arrest or who posted Monroe's bond. A Texas spokesman said the team was aware of the arrest. Texas coach Mack Brown did not immediately issue a statement.

For a guy who one night four years ago looked a bit overwhelmed by the bright lights of Texas football, Colt McCoy sure has won a lot of college games. Forty-one, to be exact. And if No. 2 Texas (9-0, 5-0 Big 12) beats Baylor (4-5, 1-4) on Saturday, McCoy will tie Georgia's David Greene for the most victories by a major college quarterback.

FBS: Lacking Dominant '09 Team

There has been a lot of talk about which non-BCS school will make a run at the title and if big conference teams can hold them off. The truth is, the two teams that play for the national title may or may not be the best two teams in college football, including a Texas-Florida championship game. This year, the controversy comes from the fact that there are no great teams, just a bunch of really good ones. My top three 1. Texas Longhorns The Longhorn defense has been very stifling this year, holding opponents to just over 12 points per game. With not much of a running game, Colt McCoy has had to throw the ball more than in previous years. He has completed a very high percentage, but has also thrown as many interceptions as games played. Not very impressive statistics if you ask me. I know in years past the Red River Rivalry has been a game of huge BCS implications, but this year Oklahoma was depleted offensively and the Longhorns still struggled to beat them. Texas A&M Aggies Announce Their Top 15 2010 Recruiting Class

Nov. 11 was a great day for the Texas A&M basketball program. As I mention in my 2009-2010 preview of the team, the depth of their front line will not be there like it has been in recent years. What is coach Mark Turgeon's response? Sign four power forwards, three of which are ranked nationally by recruiting magazines and ESPN. According to ESPN college basketball analyst Bob Gibbons: "The four players that the Aggies signed have positioned them to have a surefire top-15 recruiting class," Gibbons said. "When all the dust settles, it could be ranked even higher. No school in America has assembled a class with this much size, length, versatility, and athleticism. Mark Turgeon and his staff are known for doing things the right way and continue to bring top talent to Texas A&M." Each of the four recruits is 6'8" or taller, and with three of them still in high school and one who graduated in 2009, they are still growing.
