In a game that was shortened by the
weather it was the Tar Heels that came out
on the short end of the stick. Second ranked North Carolina (42-9, 20-6 in the ACC) took a loss thanks to the hard play of Virginia (34-17, 14-13 in the ACC) and the hard rain from the sky.
With few games left in the Tar Heels'
baseball season the team wanted to make a statement
each time and every time they stepped on the field, especially when facing another Top 25 team.

Carolina (50-9-1) over Virginia (15-38) in the opening round
of the ACC Softball tournament as the Heels won 6-0.
Reading around the internet once again I see
that there could be new things happening in the
ACC and the upcoming basketball season.
