	<title>Preseason NIT takes shape</title>

	<description>&lt;p&gt; The Preseason NIT field has been announced. 

 St. John&amp;#8217;s will play Cornell and Boston College will play Loyola-Marymount in the East Regional at BC. Purdue will play Eastern Michigan and Georgia will play Loyola of Chicago in the Midwest Regional at Purdue. Oklahoma will play Mississippi Valley State and James Madison will play Davidson in the South Regional at Oklahoma while Arizona will play Florida Atlantic and UAB will play Santa Clara in the West Regional at Arizona. 

 All first-round games will be held Nov. 17 with regional finals scheduled for the following night. 

 Winners will advance to the Garden for semifinals and finals Nov. 26 and 28. 

 The remaining 12 teams will play third- and fourth-round games at sites of three highest remaining seeds. 

 Purdue and Oklahoma should both be nationally ranked in the preseason. Davidson features Stephen Curry.

The Wildcats are one of seven teams from last season&#39;s NCAA tournament in the field of 16, which was announced Tuesday by the NIT Selection Committee.

Purdue and Oklahoma both reached the second round of the NCAA last season while Cornell, Arizona, Mississippi Valley State and Georgia all lost first-round games.

	<description>&lt;p&gt;  Everyday I will give a new reason to be pumped for the upcoming college basketball season. We are about 74 days from the start of meaningful college basketball. I&#39;m a few days behind, so here&#39;s reason 77.   
 He stands 6&#39;2&#39;&#39; and weighs a  meager 185 pounds, but Davidson guard Stephen Curry uses every ounce of his slender frame to be the  best  pure scorer in college basketball. 
 And it&#39;s not even close. 
 Curry captured the attention of college basketball fans everywhere his freshmen season when his Davidson Wildcats challenged Maryland in the 2007 NCAA tournament. 
 Curry stayed in the spotlight when Davidson put together one of the most impressive non-conference schedules in the country. They challenged the top programs in the country, most of which happened to be just down the road. 
 Curry took UNC, Duke, and UCLA down to the wire losing by a combined 22 points in the three games.
