Simply Un-ACC-eptable: Conference Looks Bleak This College Football Season

It seemed like a genius plan for the ACC Commissioner—expand the ACC to twelve teams, garner a championship game, and watch the revenue pour in.
Certainly, the process was far from clean, but it was effective. The ACC originally wanted to steal the top-shelf Big East teams, Syracuse, Miami, and Boston College.
Former Virginia Governor Mark Warner, among others, threw a wrench in that plan, though, and made a major push to bring the Hokies into the raid. ...

Three Idiots on Sports found this 40 hours ago on bleacherreport.com [link]

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NCAA Football, Clemson Tigers, Tim Tebow, Al Groh, Butch Davis

Univ. of Virginia bans all signs at sporting events

The ruling comes after a little problem last season at a Cavaliers football game. A student was almost ejected for bringing a sign that said, “Fire Groh,” in reference to Virginia head football coach Al Groh. Virginia won’t be the last school to take this step. I’m sure others will follow in their footsteps.

Joshy-79 posted 11 days ago from www.dejuiced.com [link]

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NCAA Football, Virginia Cavaliers, Al Groh

Yannick Reyering: From the Pitch to the Gridiron

He's just not used to the helmet and pads quite yet.
The 6-foot-6 German forward is no stranger to kicking in front of a packed house, but this will surely be a new start for the three-time All-ACC selection and former preseason All-American, as Reyering makes the move from the pitch to the gridiron.
Reyering has never exactly been known for taking the conventional route in life. He chose to attend the University of Virginia ...

3rd Degree found this 12 days ago on bleacherreport.com [link]

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NCAA Football, Al Groh
