New Mexico Lobos | 36 |
There's no doubt that the 'Cats offense is flying high. They're playing with a lot of confidence, and they're looking to avenge last year's loss to the Lobos in Tucson. However, it's not like they've beaten the toughest of foes: Idaho and Toledo. Those aren't exactly teams with a lot of teeth. In fact, let's face it, they're total creampuffs. Most Pop Warner teams could beat them.
By comparison, the Lobos have played much higher caliber foes: TCU and Texas A&M. Granted, UNM lost those games, but they're better quality opponents than what UA has faced so far. After opening the season with two losses, the Lobos are hungry. After opening the season with two pushover teams, the Wildcats are overconfident. UNM will win this game, but the final score will be close, just like last year in Tucson.
