Florida-LSU: Why Deja Vu Will Not Happen This Weekend

Last year, Les Miles made a call that possibly set the tone for the remainder of the season for the LSU Tigers.
The Bayou Bengals destroyed Florida's hopes of repeating as National Champions and took their place in the BCS Championship Game against Ohio State.
Even though the game hasn't happened yet, both teams know that there is a lot riding on the outcome of this game.
And Florida knows that its all or nothing come Saturday afternoon.

You Can Talk The Talk...But Can You Walk The Walk?
In a published interview, Ricky Jean-Francois made it clear the intentions of the Tiger Defense: To Decapitate Tim Tebow to the Point of Dismissal from Saturday's Game.
The Tigers defense is good, no question about that. But even they are flawed as much as the rest of the country. It was the offense that helped LSU survive their matchup against Auburn. Can their defense step up and do it again without the Death Valley faithful around to cheer them on?
Speaking of defense, the Gators ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NCAA Football, Florida Gators, LSU Fightin' Tigers, Tim Tebow, Les Miles, Chase Daniel, Bob Stoops

SEC Football Rambling Recap: Week 6

Actual GameDay sign: What's Worse: Auburn's Offense or the Economy?
Vanderbilt students looked up GameDay on Wikipedia and had a respectable crowd Saturday morning.

Auburn, Mississippi State, Arkansas, and Tennessee fans are all asking themselves the same question: How is Vanderbilt's backup quarterback better than all quarterbacks on our team?

Auburn still looked like a Spread team without any Spread players in Nashville. Fortunately, they host Arkansas this weekend. The Hogs happen to be the perfect cure for an anemic offense. We'll see how big Tony Franklin's ego really is. He'll either try to prove the Spread will work — eventually — or he'll run the ball straight at the hapless Hog defensive line for an easy five yards a carry.

Arkansas' defense might just be bad enough for the Spread to work.

Actual GameDay sign: Lee Corso Scores More Than Auburn

Does Tony Franklin also coordinate Tennessee's offense? A 13-9 ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NCAA Football, Auburn Tigers, Urban Meyer, Les Miles, Steve Spurrier, Houston Nutt

Les Miles Not Sleeping On Florida

There is unrest in Gator Nation. It mostly surrounds the offense, an entity that Gator fans have rarely if ever been satisfied with in the post-Spurrier era. Whether it is nitpicking or outright disdain , some folks are pretty upset.
To all those who are not happy: Les Miles thinks you're crazy.
"If you find any weaknesses, tell me," Miles said at his weekly media luncheon Monday. "They don't have any weaknesses. Being ranked (No. 11) is underselling them some. It will be our strengths against their strengths."
Maybe this is just gamesmanship garbage, some token respect to keep the bulletin boards clear in Gainesville. Oops, too late for that . Hmm, or maybe it's just a coach talking in vague platitudes about an opponent he's not looked closely at.
"Tim Tebow plays pretty darn well," Miles said. "It doesn't seem like he's struggling to me. When something doesn't go well, somebody has to take the blame. Usually, it's the quarterback. Tebow is more well-rounded than last year.
Cowboys seek respect vs. No. 3 Missouri (AP)

Already this season, No. 17 Oklahoma State has been able to celebrate its return to the Top 25 and its first undefeated start since Les Miles left for LSU. The opportunity to take the next step and topple a highly ranked team presents itself Saturday when the Cowboys (5-0, 1-0 Big 12) go to No. 3 Missouri.

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NCAA Football, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Les Miles, Missouri Tigers

B/R Top25 LSU Comments Week Six

Dustin Delahoussaye #1 The 34-24 score was a little too close for comfort against Mississippi State, but the Tigers still won the game and also have that marquee win at Auburn. Timothy Croley #1 Well, they are the defending champs and are still undefeated. Why not? We'll see if they are truly deserving in the next few weeks. Scott Pusich #1 (previous: 3) The beneficiaries of my top two from last week (USC and Florida) tripping up and falling down. A workmanlike performance against conference rival Mississippi State last week, but the Bayou Bengals will need to maintain their focus and not get caught looking ahead. Nevertheless, they did what they needed to do. Warning, though: may drop a place next week due to the ever-present opponent, BYE. Next game is @ Florida on Oct. 11. Avinash Kunnath #1 tom scurlock #1 Until the sitting champ loses, they stay #1. Michael Cline #2 Tosten Burks #2 Will Shelton #2 Jay Jones #2 Jeff Nygaard #2 Scott Redlich #2 Alvin Dominique #2 Someone ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NCAA Football, LSU Fightin' Tigers, Les Miles, Colin Clark
