Oh Great: ESPN Moves from Charlie Weis to Les Miles

So is Charlie Weis going to get fired? Lately no one cares. It's all about is Les Miles going to get fired. Well he isn't. Want to know why? Because the buy out for this year is $13 million. LSU athletic does have that, but why spend it? Give the man a chance. This is really on his MAJOR mistake since arriving at LSU in 2005. LSU plays Arkansas this weekend, or Ar-KANSAS as Miles calls it, this weekend. For Les to be fired LSU will have to fall to Arkansas and lose the bowl game as well. Not gonna happen. LSU will win out this season in my opinion, and will beat Arkansas 35-31. Yes my pick is four points in the Tigers' favor. Tune to ESPN Saturday at six, when the Razorbacks of Arkansas take on the Fighting Tigers of LSU. Should be a good one. All fans making the trip to Baton Rouge, be safe and enjoy the game. Les Miles said the past two days have been difficult for him and his football team. The LSU coach said he understands the criticism and accepts the blame for a series of gaffes that resulted in the 17th-ranked Tigers' 25-23 loss at Ole Miss. "For 48 hours, I've gone through the pain of this," Miles said Monday. "It was not something I enjoyed. I understand the criticism from the fans. I'm critical of myself.

Last week saw this humble enterprise beginning to peak with my second week of perfect picks including the "upset" of LSU. Ever since Nick Saban joined the ranks and history of the Alabama Crimson Tide LSU fans have been quick to point to Les Miles as being the better of the two coaches. They point to his record with the Tigers against Saban's. Never mind that Saban inherited a train wreck when he got to LSU and left Miles a perfectly running well conditioned team in which all he had to do was not mess it up. They point to Miles' ability to recruit, which in all actuality has not been as good as Saban's. After Saturday night's debacle, the 'Miles Meltdown' proved once again and finally ended all doubt once and forever that Les is not more. There are housewives who only watch one football game a year that could have coached that team better in the closing minutes and managed the clock with much more ability. His total ineptitude was cringing to watch. He screwed his team out of yet another win over a team he had more than enough talent to beat. And then he went to the press and lied. Ailing QB Jefferson could play Saturday for LSU
