Getting To Know Your Obese Coaches: Mark Mangino

Back in the day, the boys and I
used to argue over nonsense all the time. All
the time . Many of those arguments were "who's better" ones. The most frequent of that variety? Who's the better actor: Al Pacino or Robert De Niro? Seriously, in our inner circle that debate took place about as often as "Bird, Magic or Mike?" It was typically more heated as well. ...
We're all different, right? We beg to differ:
ESPN analyst Lou Holtz = Granny Clampett, Kansas' Mark
Mangino = Jabba the Hut & more...
There is no link as of right now,
but I just saw it flash on the bottom
of ESPN. It's legit, trust me. It was something like the Home Depot Coach of the Year Award. He deserves every non-weight-related accolade this offseason, he is a premier coach in college football and I love the fact that he is here, coaching at the University of Kansas. More to come later on with a link... ROCK CHALK!
Mark Mangino does not care for your oranges.
Or health. He is fat as balls. It’s borderline
embarrassing how fat he is. Okay “borderline embarrassing” might actually be the early leader for understatement of the year, but do you ...
This may be all you see of us
today–we’re headed to Clemson for the Bowden Bowl, where
we can safely root against Bowden no matter what happens–but in the meantime, Mark Mangino would like to show you that underneath that cuddly ...
I wrote this one last year, but I
think it sheds a little light on Mangino's decision
to chew out a celebrating player.
We don't know about you, but we're entranced
by Kansas coach Mark Mangino. He's like Rick Majerus,
but less cartoonish. He looks like what we want football coaches to look like; sorry, ladies, but he's married! Anyway, Kansas is still undefeated ...
Rarely, oh so very rarely, do we actually
get contacted voice to voice by anyone we write
about. This includes indirect contact through secondaries, flunkies, coolies, whatever. Being a blogger has that advantage: writing the sort of fever-dream ...
This is the actual picture, and headline, that
has been up on KuSports.com all day . Yes
they did, Coach: Yes. They. Did.
Oh the irony of Lou Holtz giving a
pep talk as if he were Mark Mangino. There
could not be two more opposite college football personalities. Ok, maybe Anthony Morelli and Tim Tebow, but you get the point. Good speech by Lou, but it was more story time than anything. Not what we needed with the turkey putting us to sleep as is. Lou did make a funny, however when discussing the ..
After a day of football and beer, I've
come to the realization that we need a college
football coach sumo wrestling playoffs. Forget the real football playoffs, this is what the people need. And we have two great potential finals contests: Kansas' Mark Mangino vs Maryland's Ralph Friedgen. Darkhorse contest, fatty Charlie Weis. And our host? Rick Majerus!
Kansas' Mark Mangino. Name a coach who has
done a better job this season. Can't do it,
can you? His team scored 76 points last Saturday against Nebraska and frankly, could have scored more. And consider that Mangino is doing this in Lawrence — where football players are few and far between and basketball is king — it's even more astounding. So why is Mangino never mentioned for openings at ...
… If only the South Park characture of
Kansas football coach Mark Mangino had reflected this caught-on-TV-moment
(which rival’s Manny Ramirez’s by the way)...
Filed under: Kansas Football , Big 12 ,
NCAA FB Coaching , NCAA FB Video Orson Swindle
picked up on this over at Every Day Should Be Saturday , and the footage is originally from WIBW out of Topeka, but if you haven't seen Mark Mangino's reaction to ...
What was really heard on the sidelines
Our brothers from Big Red Network ask the
questions, but all of the colors from the Big
XII conference answer the call and with gusto might I add. MidWest Coast Bias is no exception as we tackle questions on our own Huskers, Sam Bradford, Mark Mangino's Kansas squad and the Texas Longhorns.
Ralph Friedgen All-Stars, UCONN Hoops (?) and Virginia
Cav quitters.
