Rich Rodriguez's tenure as the head football coach
at the University of Michigan is only in its
second day, but he may have already lost one of the Wolverines. There is speculation out of Ann Arbor that freshman quarterback Ryan Mallett has decided to leave Michigan and will transfer to UCLA, according to a person close to the team.

Ryan Mallett has left the Michigan football program,
and the quarterback might be reunited with his offensive
coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Tennessee. The Wolverines also lost another offensive player when wide receiver Adrian Arrington declared for the NFL draft. He caught 67 passes for 882 yards and eight touchdowns this season.

Quarterback Ryan Mallett's decision is the most significant.
But there's no rush for Mallett. Former coach Lloyd
Carr suggested waiting until after spring practice, given that the player must sit out a year regardless at the new school. Mallett's tie to former U-M quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler also makes his situation interesting until Loeffler finds another job.

Whenever Rich Rodriquez became the head coach of
the Michigan Wolverines, it wasn’t a matter of if
Ryan Mallett would transfer, but more a matter of when. A few schools were after his services, mainly UCLA and Arkansas but ITB has found out that Ryan Mallett has enrolled in Arkansas and we should expect an official announcement later in the week.

Gosder Cherilus can step in from day one
and give a boost to most offensive lines. The
