This isn’t exactly the cavalry coming over the hill, but the Giants’ beleaguered, battered and just plain bad defense will get some help this week. Linebacker Michael Boley (knee) and Defensive tackle Chris Canty (calf) are both expected to practice on Wednesday. Considering the defense has now had its worst three-game stretch since 1973, I can’t imagine that’s enough to solve all their problems. But every little bit helps.
