It’s official — Chicago Bears wide receiver and
free agent-to-be Bernard Berrian has signed with notorious sports
agent Drew Rosenhaus. From the Chicago Sun-Times: “Bears wide receiver Bernard Berrian’s anticipated switch to agent Drew Rosenhaus became official Wednesday, and in the wake of the move, the National Football League Players Association is investigating ..
I shared the first episode of Bears Brothers
with you last week, and even though I'm extremely
pissed off at the team right now, I'll still post episode 2 for you. After all, neither of the Ayanbadejo brothers did anything to cost the Bears the game on Sunday. At least not that I noticed. Though Brendon did recover one of Devin's fumbles.
Just a formality. Brown has been involved in
trade rumors for the past month. The two-time Pro
Bowl alternate has three years remaining on his contract but his salaries are near the minimum. Chicago has room to move him with Dan Bazuin, Israel ...
LAKE FOREST, Ill. LAKE FOREST, Ill. The Bears
will have all nine of their 2007 draft picks
on the field Friday when they open training camp with a 3 p.m. practice at Olivet Nazarene University. Defensive end Dan Bazuin , the team s lone remaining ...
This season is a good as done. Forget
the playoff talk and the chances to still get
in a wild card birth with a weak NFC. The Bears season is down to 3 games and it will be done. I would write something to review the last game but that would presuppose the Bears actually played
Desperate for help at receiver, the Bears turned
to an old friend, signing Marty Booker to a
two-year deal. Booker, originally a third-round pick of the Bears in the 1999 draft, was traded to the Dolphins in 2004 in the deal that brought defensive end Adewale Ogunleye to Chicago. Booker was shocked by the trade and said at the time that he didn't see it coming.
A number of you aren't going read this
because as Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen says,
the public prefers to follow news of celebs and sports figures who are "[expletived] up." The rise of the sports blog generally hasn't be driven by fans' ...
I bet you're looking at that photo thinking,
"Man, I could have sworn Brian Urlacher's number was
54" or "They should fire the equipment manager for giving Brian the wrong jersey" or "I love the way that jersey drapes over his massive, sweaty ...
There are a lot of stats to dissect
through nine games of this Bears season - some
good, some bad, some just confusing. Dustin Beutin does his best to sort through the mess and explain what's really going on with the Bears defense.
The Bears' season is all over but the
crying. Sure, there are three games left - but
those are more auditions for next year than anything. Which begs the question... What can the Bears do with the balance of their season to make it worthwhile for everyone involved.
The more and more I read and think
about Cedric Benson’s boating incident, the more inclined I
am to believe Benson’s account of the story. Rather, the truth probably lies somewhere between Benson’s story and the police’s, but ...
On Tuesday, the Bears cut ties with possibly
the best name on the team with due respect
to Adewale Ogunleye.
