Patriots Remember Late Owner

Former New England Patriots owner James Orthwein died Friday at age 84 after a long battle with cancer. Orthwein bought the Patriots in 1992 and hired Bill Parcells as their coach. He sold the franchise in '94 to current owner Robert Kraft. "I didn't know James Orthwein well, but I did share one of my life's most memorable moments with him and my family back on January 21, 1994," Kraft said in a written...Please click on the title to continue reading this entry.

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, New England Patriots, Bill Parcells, Robert Kraft

Miami Dolphins Season Preview: Who Should Start?

The Miami Dolphins have struggled to regain the swagger they once held, having missed the playoffs every year since 2001.
The Dolphins come into the season with a new regime. New head coach Tony Sparano looks to bring glory to a once-proud franchise. Bill Parcells is now pulling the strings behind closed doors, looking to create a big, physical, and hard-working team.
It should not be much of a challenge to improve from last season, as the Dolphins went 1-15. Parcells is credited with turning around the New York Jets' and New England Patriots' struggling franchises.
Here are my predictions for the Miami Dolphins starting offensive and defensive teams...
Quarterback: Chad Pennington
Running Back: Ronnie Brown
Wide Receivers: Ted Ginn Jr. and Ernest Wilford
Tight End: Anthony Fasano
Offensive Guards: Donald Thomas and Justin Smiley
Offensive Tackles: Jake Long and Vernon Carey
Center: Samson Satele
Defensive Ends: Phillip Merling and Kendall Langford
Defensive Tackles: Jason ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Miami Dolphins, Tony Sparano, Bill Parcells, New York Jets, New England Patriots

'ONE OF THE GUYS'

It was a surreal sight. Brett Favre, who - to borrow a well-worn phrase from Bill Parcells - is headed to the Hall of Fame of roller skates, was running a penalty lap around the Jets' training camp practice field about an hour into practice...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Brett Favre, Bill Parcells, Hall of Fame, New York Jets

What is Parcells's Approach in Miami?

Bill Parcells has been a highly successful rebuilder of NFL teams. But he's been less than perfect in recent years. He left Dallas without winning a playoff game during his tenure as Cowboys coach. And his signing of Chad Pennington in Miami to take over as the Dolphins' quarterback leaves open the question: What exactly is his approach in Miami as he attempts to turn around a club that went 1-15 last season? Parcells,...Please click on the title to continue reading this entry.

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, Bill Parcells, Chad Pennington
