Brett Favre and his iron-man streak of consecutive starts clearly was not in jeopardy, but 93 straight in a Seton Hall uniform was a fairly impressive run for Eugene Harvey.

NFL 2010 Mock Draft: Rounds 1-3

Believe it or not, a lot has changed since I posted my mock draft a mere nine days ago.

With 21 weeks to go until the 2010 draft, it's time to update my mock. I love doing this stuff.

My order of draft picks, as always, is based on the current record of the team, and how I think they will finish at the end of the season.

If you don't see a certain player in the mock, ask me about it. There is a good chance I won't have somebody declaring.

Enjoy the show!
Fantasy Football Week 11 Quarterback Rankings

Thursday's game brought us a decent performance from Chad Henne, and even Jake Delhomme dropped in some sold yardage and a score. With one game out of the way, here's a look at where the other 30 quarterbacks rank heading into Sunday's action . Monitor Kyle Orton's status leading up to game time, and against our better judgment, play Matthew Stafford, David Garrard, and Matt Cassel ahead of him (or Chris Simms): 1. Drew Brees @ T.B. 2. Peyton Manning @ BAL 3. Tom Brady vs. NYJ 4. Kurt Warner @ STL 5. Ben Roethlisberger @ K.C. 6. Matt Schaub vs. TEN 7. Aaron Rodgers vs. S.F. 8. Philip Rivers @ DEN 9.
Brett Favre : How Can You Not Love The Guy?

If there is one player in the NFL that people love to see succeed, it is Brett Favre. To go along with that, if there is one player in the NFL I love to write about, it is Brett Favre.
Coincidence? I think not.
Brett Favre has stolen the hearts of NFL fans since the 1992 season when he became the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. He is in his 19th season as an NFL quarterback, and he has done a pretty good job.
Favre is the NFL leader in all time wins. That record stands for itself.
But I'm not here to brag about Favre's records, I think we all know what he has done.
Let's talk about the 2009 Minnesota Vikings' Brett Favre. The guy is remarkable.
Through 10 weeks of NFL football he is leading the league in passer rating, something he has never done. Brett has thrown 17 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Jay Cutler, the guy who was supposed to be the next Brett Favre, has thrown 17 interceptions this season.
Ironic.
Favre's 17-3 TD to INT ratio is easily the best of his ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Brett Favre, Minnesota Vikings

NFL Week 11 Fantasy Football Player Breakdowns

Every week we take a look at every team's key players and their matchups for fantasy football. Check out some quick analysis on some possible studs, as well as some guys to avoid. Using the five-star rating to get a good idea on who to start and sit, in addition to the comments: Miami Dolphins @ Carolina Panthers QB Chad Henne: Miami should run the ball a ton and Carolina pass defense is tops. * QB Pat White: He should be in the mix more with the loss of Ronnie Brown for the season. ** RB Ricky Williams: Panthers run defense is soft and he should get the rock a ton now. ***** WR Davone Bess: Gets a decent amount of looks, but doesn't do a ton. ** WR Ted Ginn: Started last week and had zero catches. Not much optimism this week. * QB Jake Delhomme: Carolina will run the ball a lot, but he should be OK against rookie corners. ** RB DeAngelo Williams: Check his status, but if he's active, he's too good to pass up. ***** RB Jonathan Stewart: Value rises if Williams is out. ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Fantasy Football, Ricky Williams, Eli Manning, Maurice Jones-Drew, Brett Favre

NFL Top 10 Power Rankings Through Week 10

Week Ten of the NFL saw some changes made when the week was over.
After being cut by the Chiefs, Larry Johnson was recently signed by the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals already have another castoff in Cedric Benson, who has energized his career in Cincinnati.
If Johnson follows the same route as Benson has, who had trouble with the Chicago Bears and has been trouble-free with the Bengals, Johnson too could find himself playing more and not criticized as much.
But, it's all up to Johnson's desire to change for the better.
Also, the first coaching change finally happened in 2009 with the firing of Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron. Jauron never had success in Buffalo and the team was a mess this season at 3-6 with Terrell Owens, so management felt a change was needed.
Jauron will probably end up back as a defensive coordinator somewhere in the NFL, a spot where he should stay.
The top teams of the NFL took some tough losses and a couple teams who could have moved up didn't, while some ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Adrian Peterson, Drew Brees, Reggie Bush

Fantasy Football Week 10 Start/Sit Review: Don't Kill The Messenger

It was another good week for The Red Zone Report 's Start/Sit column , so if you've been weary of taking fantasy advice, it may be time to jump aboard this train. Take a look at how we did in each section from Week 10, and then stay tuned for Week 11's Start/Sit column: Start: 3-2 Sit: 4-1 Sleeper: 4-1 Winners Brett Favre, QB, Minnesota Vikings (Start) Favre didn't tear it up with the touchdowns as we'd hoped, but he still threw a score and registered a season-high 344 passing yards. Regardless of all the late-season fade speculation, Favre remains a solid QB1 in fantasy football . Ricky Williams, RB, Miami Dolphins (Start) He started slow against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but ended the day with a solid line of 20 carries for 102 yards. Look for Williams to continue his solid production with a start in this Thursday's contest, as starter Ronnie Brown is expected to miss the game. John Carlson, TE, Seattle Seahawks (Start) Carlson finally got ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Fantasy Football, Brett Favre, Matthew Stafford, Ricky Williams, Matt Ryan, Jamaal Charles

Brett Favre and another year of experience have turned Sidney Rice into Minnesota's newest star receiver. Favre passed for a season-high 344 yards, 201 to Rice, and the Vikings beat the Detroit Lions 27-10 on Sunday. The Lions (1-8) joined the Houston Oilers, from Nov. 21, 1982 through Nov. 4, 1984, as the only NFL teams to lose 31 games in a 33-game stretch, according to STATS.

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Brett Favre, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Sidney Rice

Should The Pats and Colts Break The Bank For Brady and Manning?

When speaking of the greatest players in the NFL today, there is no way either Tom Brady or Peyton Manning can be left out of the conversation. Love them, or hate them, no one can argue they are future first ballot Hall of Fame entrants.
Peyton Manning is on pace to earn most of the individual records for quarterbacks, while Tom Brady is compared to Joe Montana as the best ever.
Both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady have one year remaining on their current contract, meaning after NEXT season, if they are not resigned by the Colts and Patriots, respectfully, they will become unrestricted free agents.
There is no way that is going to happen.
Both Brady and Manning are going to be their teams top priority this off season. With the large contracts being handed out to the class of 2004, Adam Schefter reports that both Manning and Brady are set to sign contracts in excess of $16.25 million per year.
The question is not, "are they worth the money?" My question is how long will they be worth the money? ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Indianapolis Colts, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, New England Patriots

Week 10 Fantasy Football Versus: Coin Flip

After you've scoured the waiver wire , found nothing worth your time, and then failed to pull off the trade that may have rescued your team, what's left for you to do? Well, it's times like these where you have to suck it up and look within. Even the best fantasy owners with rosters loaded with talent can run into unlucky stretches of bad matchups for their players, ridiculous performances by opponents, or facing the highest scoring team every week. Regardless, it's up to you to do everything in your power to put the best team up against your opponent, and like it or not, sometimes it starts with pitting your own players against each other.
Here's a look at three positions with two players facing off, with only one earning the right to take a place in your starting lineup: Tony Romo , QB, DAL (@GB) vs. Brett Favre, QB, MIN (vs. DET) Romo threw his first pick in four weeks against the Philadephia Eagles, and connected with Miles Austin for his ninth touchdown during that ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, LaDainian Tomlinson, Fantasy Football, Brett Favre, Tony Romo, Ray Rice, Calvin Johnson

Fantasy Football Player Breakdowns (Week 10)

Take a second to look over your player's match-ups this week, as well as some solid analysis on how they might fare. In addition, set your line-up with some help from our five-star rating, symbolized by the (*) sign. Teams on bye this week : Houston Texans, New York Giants
Chicago Bears @ San Francisco 49ers QB Jay Cutler: Cutler played well last week and the 49ers can be passed on. **** RB Matt Forte: 49ers haven't been great against run, but hes been slacking. *** WR Devin Hester: At least six grabs in four straight games makes him a dependable WR3. *** WR Earl Bennett: Caught a good amount of balls last week, but isn't a great option. ** WR Johnny Knox: Always has the potential to get a couple deep, but not consistent. ** TE Greg Olsen: He won't get three scores again, but his stock is rising. *** QB Alex Smith: Kurt Warner lit up the Bears for 5 TD's, so there's promise there. *** RB Frank Gore: Bears defense isn't itself, and Gore has been solid. **** WR Michael ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Fantasy Football, Jay Cutler, Brett Favre, Ronnie Brown, Adrian Peterson, Drew Brees

Blinding Realization: Green Bay Packers Missing Some Magic

Admit it. Despite your hatred for that "traitor" Brett Favre, you're starting to notice, game-by-game, what truly is lacking from this Green Bay Packers football team.
Let's get the obvious problems out of the way.
They can't protect the quarterback. Their running game stinks. And that transition to the 3-4 defense? So far, not so good.
Their play-calling and overall decision-making has been average, at best. And their special teams has been downright atrocious, almost in every facet it could possibly fathom.
These talented Packers, 13-3 and one win away from a Super Bowl two years ago, are 4-4 on the heels of an embarrassing loss to the previously 0-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and staring a losing record in the face with the formidable 6-2 Dallas Cowboys coming to town.
When I refer to "magic" missing from this team, I am indeed referring to Brett Favre. Favre isn't the only glaring hole in what seems to be an offense that reveals a new missing link each week, but if you track this ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre

NFL Fantasy Start & Sit Week 10: Joe Flacco to Shine on Monday Night

We had a productive Start/Sit column last week, as we took advantage of some "can't miss" match-ups and suggested some solid starts out of Alex Smith and Ryan Grant, while made quality sleeper predictions by recommending you keep an eye on both Vince Young and Josh Freeman . Every week brings forth another collection of favorable match-ups, as well as some situations that may ask you to sit guys that you would normally refer to as "studs." Without further haste, here are the guys for Week 10 to start, sit, and keep an eye on.
Start Joe Flacco, QB, Baltimore Ravens Flacco has been very sub-par in his last two outings, throwing just one touchdown in games against the Broncos and Bengals. However, he's too good to stay down for too long, and he and the rest of the Baltimore offense have a very friendly date with the inept Cleveland Browns. Oh, and it's in front of the nation. Count on Ray Rice and co. guiding Flacco back to fantasy relevance. Prediction: 21-29, 304 yds, ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Joe Flacco, Brett Favre, Ricky Williams, Miles Austin

Haters Gonna Hate: Playas Gonna Play

It's nice to see that even though Brett Favre and the Vikings have the week off, the "holier than thou" Favre bashers do not.
Well, here I am to punch the clock and put in some work.
I'd like to take a moment to ponder why?
Why all the hate?
Why all the animosity?
I mean, the Packers' brass bashers stopped once Favre was gone. True Packers fans have put the differences behind them, and while showing support for the Pack have kept respect for the talent Favre has.

Come to Think of It: Top 10 NFL Quarterbacks

Selecting the top QBs in football is a lot like picking your nose. A part of you is dying to do it, yet you hope that nobody sees you. For you just know that everyone isn't going to agree with you and see it your way. Still, this is the path that I've chosen and dammit, I am right! Unless I'm wrong, of course.

Either way, check this out and let me know what you think. Oh, and by the way, as for the picture, um, well, she is wearing a Tony Romo thong, come to think of it.
