Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco gave cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha the silent treatment Sunday. But if looks could talk ... "He never opened his mouth," Asomugha said. "He caught one ball on me; it was a dig. Then he just got up and looked. He just looked....

The Best of Ochocinco: Volume Five

The Cincinnati Bengals are 7-2 and in sole possession of first place in the AFC North. However, it's time to take a break from game observations, report cards, and upcoming matchups.
It's time to step off the field and get some relationship advice from our favorite tweeter, Chad Ochocinco .
I now present The Best of Ochocinco, Volume 5 .
OGOchoCinco: "What a beautiful day, 70 degrees and raining = cuddle weather or pregnancy, one or the other is bound to happen!"
OGOchoCinco: "Who's guilty here? A wife wakes up from a dream yelling HURRY UP MY HUSBAND IS HOME n her husband wakes up n jumps out da window."
OGOchoCinco: "My condom brand is tiger striped—12 stripes included, let's the women know your size ahead of time = where you putting all those stripes < :)"
OGOchoCinco: "Remember life isn't a box of chocolates, it's more like a jar of jalapenos, what you do today can burn yo a$$ tomorrow!!"
OGOchoCinco: "yourenotdaonly1 if you are dating a guy N you ask for a ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Chad Johnson, Cincinnati Bengals

NFL Week Eleven: My Three Wishes

 1. I wish that the NFL understood Ochocinco

I've never been sure what to make of the guy myself, to be honest. For large chunks of the time, he comes across as the biggest idiot alive – the name change, the begging to be traded and so on.

On the other hand, he's one of the few players who has really worked out how to use modern technology to his advantage, and this in turn has helped to soften his image – no-one who reads his Twitter feed can be in any doubt about his devotion to his children, his loyalty to his friends or his dedication to his craft.

Then there is the fact that, oddly, we seem to have the same sense of humor. An acquaintance I had a rather public row with a few weeks ago has been complaining about the amount of spam she's been receiving lately and I am so tempted to send her a tin of the real thing.

Especially now we now about Ochocinco's proposed mustard stunt. And waving a dollar bill at an official carrying out a booth review? Hell, I'd love to ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Roger Goodell, Tennessee Titans, Vince Young, Jeff Fisher, Chad Johnson

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Chad Ochocinco, always the self-promoter, planned to send mustard to the Steelers' defensive backs last week before coach Marvin Lewis halted the condiment giveaway. The Bengals receiver's implied message was that Pittsburgh would be playing catch-up after taking on Cincinnati.

Chad Ochocino Fine Proves NFL Double Standard on Charity

The National Football League can fine Chad Ochocinco, Jay Cutler, Mike Smith, or whomever else they want. In the end, the biggest offender will always be the NFL.
From 1975 to 1980 Dave Pear tore up NFL offensive linemen. The former Washington Husky was twice voted his college's "Rising Lineman of the Year" and once voted "Player of the Year."
Dave Pear was, only less than 30 years ago, a Pro Bowl-caliber lineman with a Super Bowl ring. He bears the distinction of being the first Tampa Bay Buccaneer elected to the Pro Bowl (1978) and started three games for the 1980 Oakland Raiders.
Dave Pear daily practiced against Gene Upshaw and Art Shell.
Now, at 56, Pear says "I wish I had never played."
Dave Pear can barely walk. A neck injury he suffered in 1979 has left him permanently handicapped. After tackling Seahawks running back Sherman Smith, on Sept. 16th of that year, a vertebrae popped out of Pear's neck.
Pear played the next two years hurt at the behest of owner, Al Davis. Pear has ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Chad Johnson

The NFL Fine Policy, Or Lack Of One, Is Laughable

According to reports on Friday, two Chicago Bears received fines from the NFL for their actions in the Bears' Week Nine loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
However, it appears the league made a mistake and switched the dollar amounts on the respective pink slips.
Defensive tackle Tommie Harris was ejected 54 seconds into the game for punching a Cardinals lineman in the face. He was fined $7,500 for the punch.
Meanwhile, quarterback Jay Cutler was fined $20,000 for "verbally abusing" an official after it appeared a pass interference call was missed on a crucial fourth down. Cutler was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct on the play.
How does Cutler get nearly three-times the fine of Harris when Harris punched another player? Is there a precedent somewhere that says "the league will kick players while they're down" or "if a defensive lineman's being grossly overpaid, we won't fine him as much"?
I'm not defending either player's actions, and understand why both received notice from the league. But ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Jay Cutler, Chad Johnson, Arizona Cardinals
