Chris Redman will get the starting nod this
saturday in the Falcons first pre-season game. Redman will
be getting the start over rookie QB Matt Ryan. More than likely Ryan will be first off the bench. DJ Shockley and Joey Harrington, the other 2 QB's on the roster, will be battling for the third spot. Head Coach Mike Smith wants all four QB's to see action in the game against the Jaguars.

Rookie Matt Ryan will open the regular season
as the Falcons’ starting quarterback. Ryan won an open
competition over veterans Chris Redman, Joey Harrington and D.J. Shockley. The decision was made over the weekend and will be announced by coach Mike Smith after today’s practice.
