The look on Brett Favre's face said it all on Sunday Night. It said it after he threw his two interceptions, it said it while E.J. Henderson was lying in IR agony in the middle of the field, and it said it as we was walking to the center of the field to shake hands at the end of the game. His posture steady, but his lips pursed, his brow slightly furrowed, and in the instance of Henderson's injury, his head shaking. While there were a lot of bad things to think about in the Phoenix suburb on Sunday night, disbelief had to have been the central emotion. Disbelief that the Vikings played so poorly as a team, disbelief in the unluckiness of Henderson's season-ending injury, and disbelief that this great, yet uncompleted season could end in a way Favre, the Vikings and their entire fan base know it shouldn't. Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress says linebacker E.J. Henderson is in "good spirits" after having surgery on his broken left leg. Henderson stayed in intensive care at a Phoenix-area hospital while the rest of his teammates went home Sunday night after a 30-17 loss to the Cardinals. Childress said Monday that the surgery went well.

E.J. Henderson Out For Season The Minnesota Vikings take a huge blow to their defensive unit, losing star middle linebacker E.J. Henderson after he took a blow to the knee from a teammate. Henderson reportedly fractured his femur on a long Tim Hightower run late in the game, after colliding with a teammate. Rookie fifth rounder Jasper Brinkley is expected to step-in and take his place. The loss of Henderson could severely hurt the Vikings overall fantasy value as a defense. Warner Hurts Hip in Win Over Vikings Warner appeared in good spirits during a post-game interview, and was on the field for the Cardinals final possession, but he was noticeably limping near the end of the game. Vikings LB Henderson suffers broken leg

Minnesota linebacker E.J. Henderson broke his leg against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in a brutal injury that will apparently sideline him for the season while dealing a serious blow to the Vikings' defensive unit. Henderson fractured his femur while trying to tackle Tim Hightower late in the fourth quarter - his leg twisting violently as he went down. He was taken off the field on a motorized cart after doctors spent several minutes attending to the star linebacker.
