Denver — Eli Manning has more Harry Callahan in him than we ever thought he could.
NFL Predictions: Week Twelve

It's Week Twelve of the NFL season, and it's also Thanksgiving week.
In the past years, there has always been two games on this holiday, which usually were just the Lions at home against their opponent and the Cowboys and their opponent, which is fine because it is tradition, but lately, those games haven't been as great, so the league added a third game at night on the NFL Network, which generally has been a better game of the day.
So if you are at your family's house and you don't like your relatives, or if you do and are looking for something to do aside from eating turkey and turkey sandwiches, there is football all Thanksgiving day long.
Last week in Week Eleven, I had a great week going 14-2 with the only losses coming from the Steelers and Bengals. Overall in the 2009 season, I am 114-45 and looking to continue the good record.
Thursday Thanksgiving Football: Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions
These two teams have met in the past on Thanksgiving, two years ago in fact.
An Open Letter To NFL Fans: Don't We Deserve a Better Overtime System?

Is it just me, or is the NFL and it's overtime system due for a major overhaul?
First, I will acknowledge that I am a die hard Falcons fan. I am a season ticket holder, and have been for many years. So yes, I am still bitter over the Falcons bitter defeat this past Sunday.
But let me also say that I have repeatedly over the years voiced my distaste for a system that in some cases never allows one team a chance to score a point.
Just to compare, let's think about baseball and extra innings. Both teams get to bat in each inning, correct? What if the game ended in the top of the 10th when the visiting team scored?
In hockey's exciting shoot out sessions, do both teams not get an equal number of attempts to put one in the net?
Even in college football, each team is allowed a possession in each over time session. You may not like the fact that each team starts at the 25 yard line, but at least they both get a chance to score.
Many have said that the college overtime setup is not "real ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Matt Ryan, Roger Goodell, Atlanta Falcons, Eli Manning

Manning takes charge, delivers first win in 42 days

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—On one side of the ball at least, the Super Bowl-contending Giants reappeared Sunday in a 34-31 overtime win over the Falcons.

Eli Manning finally topped 300 yards at home, and the Giants snapped their skid.
Only this time, rather than feature a punishing ground game and ball-control attack, the Giants' offense took to the air, relying on Eli Manning and a big-play passing game to snap a four-game losing streak and keep the team in the thick of the NFC playoff race with a 6-4 record.

Manning, after having eight previous 300-yard days away from home, finally hit the mark at Giants Stadium. On Sunday, he completed 25-of-39 passes for 384 yards and three touchdowns.

"It was just a matter of executing," Manning said. "It wasn't like we went in and changed our philosophy or changed our offense. We just tried to be more consistent and trust the guys to get open."

If only it were that simple.

Coming off a bye week, coach Tom Coughlin ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, New York Giants, Eli Manning

They needed a monster game from quarterback Eli Manning and overtime to do it, but the Giants were able to squeak by the Atlanta Falcons, 34-31, Sunday afternoon.

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, New York Giants, Eli Manning, Atlanta Falcons

GIANTS 34, FALCONS 31 / 42 days since a win is enough for Giants

For Eli Manning and the Giants, it had been six frustrating weeks, not that they were counting. "It's been a long time, 42 days since our last win," Manning said. "It felt like it, too." Lawrence Tynes kicked a 36-yard field goal 3:54 into overtime to make up...

One NFL Fan Rant to Another!

Refer to Photograph. " Damn, this phone number is smeared. I got to get some of that! Huh? Whats the play? C'mon Ben, distractions, distractions, distractions.
Their opponent, the inept Matt Cassell running for his life in every game, Kansas City Chiefs are horrible the last three seasons. A storied franchise in ruins. Hank Stram is pissed. Good Super Bowl win, back in the day, though.
Miami is an average team without a couple of big play wide receivers to throw the football for long patterns. Now it's the Ricky Williams show. Can the wildcat survive without Ronnie Brown?
They zapped Carolina, which isn't really beating anyone great this year. Jake is always a good name for a quarterback. Are Jakes usually in charge of stuff? Carolina is really inconsistent. I do not think they make the playoffs. Punchless Panthers.
That gets me to the almighty palace in Dallas, where individual pizza's can be $60-$100 each. People are mostly stupid at large events, and alcohol, disturbing their brains.

Fantasy Football Week 11 Quarterback Rankings

Thursday's game brought us a decent performance from Chad Henne, and even Jake Delhomme dropped in some sold yardage and a score. With one game out of the way, here's a look at where the other 30 quarterbacks rank heading into Sunday's action . Monitor Kyle Orton's status leading up to game time, and against our better judgment, play Matthew Stafford, David Garrard, and Matt Cassel ahead of him (or Chris Simms): 1. Drew Brees @ T.B. 2. Peyton Manning @ BAL 3. Tom Brady vs. NYJ 4. Kurt Warner @ STL 5. Ben Roethlisberger @ K.C. 6. Matt Schaub vs. TEN 7. Aaron Rodgers vs. S.F. 8. Philip Rivers @ DEN 9. Donovan McNabb @ CHI 10. Brett Favre vs. SEA 11. Tony Romo vs. WAS 12. Eli Manning vs. ATL 13. Matt Ryan @ NYG 14. Carson Palmer @ OAK 15. Jay Cutler vs. PHI 16. Matt Hasselbeck @ MN 17. Joe Flacco vs. IND 18. Vince Young @ HOU 19. David Garrard vs. BUF 20. Brady Quinn @ DET 21. Matt Cassel vs. PIT 22. Matthew Stafford vs. CLE 23.
NFL Week 11 Fantasy Football Player Breakdowns

Every week we take a look at every team's key players and their matchups for fantasy football. Check out some quick analysis on some possible studs, as well as some guys to avoid. Using the five-star rating to get a good idea on who to start and sit, in addition to the comments: Miami Dolphins @ Carolina Panthers QB Chad Henne: Miami should run the ball a ton and Carolina pass defense is tops. * QB Pat White: He should be in the mix more with the loss of Ronnie Brown for the season. ** RB Ricky Williams: Panthers run defense is soft and he should get the rock a ton now. ***** WR Davone Bess: Gets a decent amount of looks, but doesn't do a ton. ** WR Ted Ginn: Started last week and had zero catches. Not much optimism this week. * QB Jake Delhomme: Carolina will run the ball a lot, but he should be OK against rookie corners. ** RB DeAngelo Williams: Check his status, but if he's active, he's too good to pass up. ***** RB Jonathan Stewart: Value rises if Williams is out. ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NFL, Fantasy Football, Ricky Williams, Eli Manning, Maurice Jones-Drew, Brett Favre

Bye turns into bonanza for Giants as foes lose

The bye week turned into a bonanza for the New York Giants. Not only did quarterback Eli Manning and company get a chance to rest and get away from a four-game losing streak, the Giants got lucky in their week off.
