Another Sunday, another loss for the Cleveland Browns, but there is a bigger issue that is arising in the organization and that is with the weekly evaluation of their current rookies on the roster. You may be asking yourself what this means. This past Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals the Browns, once again, had half of their drafted players from the 2009 NFL Draft sitting on the sidelines without pads and helmets on. With the team in a downward spiral for most of the entire season, you have to start questioning what is going on with rookies Brian Robiskie, David Veikune, and Coye Francies. First, let us start with the easy one in linebacker Veikune. He was a defensive end in college and he is currently transitioning to become a NFL linebacker, which cannot be an easy switch. As a defensive end, Veikune had to get to the opposing quarterback and stop the run more than anything else, but now he is being asked to fall back into coverage and recognize formations. So Mangini has tried to bring a positive light onto himself the last several weeks with exclusive interviews with SI.com and this past weekend on The NFL Today , with host James Brown. In these two interviews, Mangini seems like he is a normal, down to earth, stand-up guy who is also married and a father. Sadly, once he puts on a headset and his Browns working attire, he goes straight to Mr. Hyde. Eric Mangini expects Josh Cribbs to play when the Cleveland Browns go against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Cribbs was strapped to a backboard and carted off the field after the last play of the Browns' 16-0 loss to Baltimore on Monday night. He was briefly hospitalized with a possible neck injury and concussion. Mangini says all of the measures taken with Cribbs were precautionary and that all the tests came back negative.

Daboll is a rookie coordinator, but after watching another touchdown-less debacle against the Ravens (that makes six of nine games without a touchdown in 2009), his value is lower than it ever has been. No concussion, but Cribbs held out of practice

Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs is being kept out of practice for at least one day after being injured on the final play of Monday night's loss to Baltimore. Cribbs pitched the ball on a pass play and was leveled by Ravens defensive end Dwan Edwards in the closing seconds. Cribbs spent a few hours at the Cleveland Clinic undergoing tests, which the team said came back negative. Browns coach Eric Mangini said his top playmaker did not sustain a concussion.
