Sean Taylor tribute shown before the Redskins-Bills game
at FedEx Field, 12/2/2007.
Where to begin. Well, in journalism school, they
teach you to lead with your best material. Which,
in this case, would be the following quote from The Mayor of FedEx Field. "I don't care who the [bleep] you are," The Mayor said. "If you're wearing burgundy and gold, you can drink my green liquor. If you need to deliver your pregnant baby in the back of my pickup truck, you can do it."
Washington DC mayor Adrian Fenty wants the Washington
Redskins to return to the nation's capital. Currently the
Redskins play at the 11 year old Fed Ex Field, which is in Landover, Maryland. Former Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke built the stadium with his own money on land given to him by Maryland officials. At the time, Washington DC did not want to give land to the Redskins to build their ...
This is a special piece of vintage, local
advertising from my favorite time as a Redskins fan
starring three of my all-time favorite Redskins. Art Monk is reliable as usual, Darrell Green is affable as ever and Gary Clark steals the show. But ...
Look who was in the VC on Saturday,
rooting on the Wiz as they beat the Sixers
to more or less secure the fifth seed and a rematch with Cleveland: Yes, that would be The Mayor of FedEx Field , Wizards ambassador Gheorge Muresan, a pair of indoor ...

I think everyone has finally gotten over the
terrible loss to the Giants at Fedex Field. Me,
it took me about 4 days to get over it. How a team can dominate one half of football and then be dominated in the 2nd half at home is beyond me. But enough of that. The Detroit Lions are coming to town and I know it’s early but this is a must win for the Redskins.
I know because I heard it myself Sunday,
from that speaker. Many times. I attended the Redskins-Eagles
game last Sunday and I can tell you the rumors are true. The Redskins play crowd noise through the stadium PA on crucial downs. This is in ...
The Eagles return to practice today in preparation
for their Sunday afternoon game against the Dolphins at
the Linc. Philadelphia’s playoff hopes remain alive after beating the Redskins at FedEx Field. The team made a roster move yesterday, ...
Neither the Bears nor the Washington Redskins are
going to sneak up on anyone this season, both
stumbling into Thursday's meeting at FedEx Field at 5-7.
Since the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Washington
Redskins at FedEx Field during the 2008 NFL season,
I thought I would contact the Redskins to see if there were any group ticket sales. The team has a deal which includes all you can eat; all you can drink and pregame field passes. All of this for just $800! Oh wait, the group deal is $800 per person or a grand total of $20000. I'll pass.
In spite of everything, Redskins fans forgive almost
everything and put their money where their hearts are.

The weather was fine, the grills were hot,
the shots were cold, the pink jerseys were, um,
pink, and the diehards were abundantly optimistic. And so, I bring you Scenes From the Tailgate: Attempting to argue, in seven parts, that NFL fans are, in many ...

A rolling confident Detroit Lion team came rolling
into Washington today. They’ll leave a defeated, dejected bunch.

Peter Lockley / The Washington Times Mike Sellers
had plenty of reason to celebrate yesterday at FedEx
