FOXSports.com has learned that the Niners have agreed
to terms on a new five-year deal with their
starting running back. Terms of the deal were not available, but the Niners didn't have to lock up the youngster, as he still had time left on his rookie deal. Now entering his third year, Gore rushed for an impressive 1,695 yards with eight touchdowns with 5.4 yards per carry last season.

The Niners had one of the ugliest offenses
to have ever graced the NFL last year. They

over to Frank Gore in the 49ers' locker room
to congratulate him on his 43-yard touchdown run. "I told him we were winnin' ugly," the 49ers' guard said in the muted glow of San Francisco's 17-16 win over St. Louis. "And he said, 'Yeah, and we gotta start winnin' pretty.' "
