 Fantasy Football Rankings: Running Backs
Fantasy Football Rankings: Running Backs
In Fantasy football, running back is without a doubt the most important position and there is really no reason not to take a back with your first pick. If you are banking on an older back, a player with an injury history or a guy that splits carries, make sure to take his back-up in the later rounds. 1. Ladainian Tomlinson, Chargers: If he doesn't go first in every draft this year, some thing...

Athletes who would excel in the NFL: #8, Grady Sizemore
Athletes who would excel in the NFL: #8, Grady Sizemore
Grady is, as the baseball folks like to say, a five-tool player. That means he has power, speed, tremendous eyesight, a torque wrench and a belt sander. And he's a pretty good baseball player, too.

How much better will Mike Martz make the 49ers offense?
How much better will Mike Martz make the 49ers offense?
The Niners had one of the ugliest offenses to have ever graced the NFL last year. They brought in Mike Martz to save them. But does Martz have the tools to run his complex offense? Is Alex Smith or Shaun Hill ready? Will they run the ball at all with Frank Gore? Will they even use Vernon Davis properly? What about the wideouts? Are they even good enough for the offense?

 The Link Dump: Monday Addition
The Link Dump: Monday Addition
It's Monday... again , which means another adventure into the doldrums and monotony of the work week ahead. And I'm starting this week off on the DL with a sever hangover. However, I'm here and that's all that really matters, right? We drafted our first "official" Fantasy team of the season yesterday in the Empty the Bench League. We aren't terribly disappointed with the roster, but

For S.F. 49ers, ugly is only win-deep
Justin Smiley was just that when he leaned over to Frank Gore in the 49ers' locker room to congratulate him on his 43-yard touchdown run. "I told him we were winnin' ugly," the 49ers' guard said in the muted glow of San Francisco's 17-16 win over St. Louis. "And he said, 'Yeah, and we gotta start winnin' pretty.' "
