St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson has
continued to holdout. Jackson missed all of training camp
while seeking a new contract. Coach Scott Linehan met with President of Football Operations Jay Zygmunt on Thursday. Linehan said progress is being made, though the extent of that progress is unclear.
As of Tuesday afternoon, running back Steven Jackson's
contract holdout had reached 19 days, easily the longest
holdout in the 14-season history of the "St. Louis" Rams. Although nothing close to a breakthrough has occurred, the Post-Dispatch has learned that there have been low-key talks in the last day or two between Rams president of football operations-general manager Jay Zygmunt and Jackson's
