Holdout Situation
Devin Hester of the Chicago Bears has said
he is ready to sit out the entire 2008
season in order to get a new contract. The GM, Jerry Angelo, however, won't negotiate with players who are AWOL.
I don't think many people would disagree with
this here assessment from Mr. Anonymous NFL Coach/Scout/Front-Office Type,
particularly since we've been beaten about the head with it since, oh, I don't know, the day the 2007 season ended. But, hey, maybe if the folks in charge of making decisions for the Bears hear it enough, something will eventually change. Or not. Whatever.
Nicely done, Jerry Angelo. Nicely done. Just when
it seemed like the Bears had lost interest in
the Virginia Tech product, I wake up this morning to news that proves the Bears were probably entirely interested all along.
