Maybe Keith Rivers read Paul Schackman’s post. Doubt
it. But Rivers did sign last night, leaving Derrick
Harvey as the only first-round pick yet to sign with his team. Ken Kremer may be waiting for market value, but the former University of Florida defensive-end is missing valuable snaps while holding out.

Rivers’ athleticism will make it’s biggest different in
pass coverage. He could end up being the next
great weak side linebacker in the mold of Derrick Brooks, or perhaps LaVar Arrington. He’s ideally suited for a Cover 2 system, but will fit just fine in any defense. He might go as high as New Orleans at No. 10, but should be off the board by the time Tampa picks at No. 20.
