A no-show performance -- again

The Jets' locker room today resembled the pass defense in yesterday's loss to the Patriots -- lots of empty space. Less than a dozen players made an appearances in the locker room during the media period, hardly a strong showing of accountability. Those who stopped to be interviewed were Kellen Clemens, Jerricho Cotchery, Damien Woody, Braylon Edwards, Bart Scott (briefly), James Dearth and David Clowney. I may have a missed a couple of players, but you get the drift. Speaking to the media isn't always an accurate gauge of leadership, but it's an indication of accountability. Right now, there's a shortage of that around here. Worse, they're allowed to get away with it. Speaking of no-shows, wait until Sunday's game at the Meadowlands. That will be a true indication of how far the Jets have fallien.
