Bills tight end Kevin Everett, who is walking
again after suffering a life-threatening spinal cord injury last
season, was placed on the team's waived/failed physical list Tuesday, freeing him to pursue long-term disability benefits from the NFL.

The Bills have released Kevin Everett, after he
suffered a career ending spinal cord injury. With the
release, he can now seek disability payments.
Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett is now
free to seek long-term disability benefits after being paralyzed
in an NFL game last season. Expect "What about us?" cries from Mike Ditka any day now.
