Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch left Sunday's game at Jacksonville with a shoudler injury. Lynch was taken to the locker room on a cart. Team officials say his status will be updated after halftime. Lynch ran eight times for 18 yards. He fumbled on his last carry in the second quarter and was injured on the play.

Firing Jauron just a start for overdue Bills

Dick Jauron's firing is the latest signal of big trouble for the Bills. Making poorly timed decisions is nothing new for the Buffalo Bills. They should have fired Dick Jauron at the end of the 2008 season, following his third consecutive 7-9 campaign. A coach who had three consecutive losing seasons, with his team showing no improvement, did not deserve another chance in today's NFL. The competition is too fierce; the decisions that coaches make are too pivotal. Jauron already had enough time to prove he had the Bills headed in the right direction. He didn't. And the Bills paid for it with another disappointing season, leading to Jauron getting the ax on Tuesday. This is the time for owner Ralph Wilson to take a hard look at his franchise, from top to bottom. Hiring the right coach is just the start. The Bills need a quarterback. With enough game previews and Bills quarterback talk on the site already, I have decided to do a profile on one of my favorite Buffalo Bills, Marshawn Lynch. Early Years Marshawn Lynch was born on April 22, 1986, in Oakland, California, to a family of athletes. His uncle Lorenzo Lynch played 11 years in the NFL as a cornerback, and his cousin Josh Johnson was recently drafted as a quarterback by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Marshawn was nickmaned "Money" while attending Oakland Technical High School, where he performed outstanding in not only football, but track, and basketball as well. Marshawn excelled at football, not only exceeding as a running back, but as a quarterback, wide receiver, defensive back, and even returning kicks. After rushing for 1,722 yards and 23 touchdowns in his senior year, he was named the San Francisco East Bay Player of the Year.
