is an attempt by the football organization to transition
the nation's most popular sport on television into the digital age by attracting younger viewers. The online streams will begin Sept. 4 with the season opening match between the Washington Redskins and the New York Giants. NBC will make its TV feed available on the websites of both the network and league.
The early lines on BetSportsWeb.com's 2008 NFL propositions
indicate that the Patriots are, once again, the big
favorites to win Super Bowl XLIII.
It remains to be seen whether Aaron Rodgers
can escape the shadow cast by one of the
greatest quarterbacks to ever touch a pigskin. So goes the speculation when an unproven, or even a proven for that matter, steps from within the shadow of a grid iron hero. With Rodgers’ quest ahead, let’s take a look at others that had to overcome the scrutiny of replacing the all time greats of the game.
