It looks like another potential member of the Browns secondary has hit the free agent market as the Chicago Bears have released cornerback Ricky Manning on Tuesday. The Chicago Tribune has already reported that interested teams include the Lions, Buccaneers, Saints, and yes…the Cleveland Browns.

Danieal Manning's transition to nickel back was part of the reason the Bears let Manning Jr. go. They cut the veteran defensive back 24 hours after he told the Tribune his previous request to be traded or released had been denied.

The Bears aren't done addressing two problem areas from last season. The team continued to work over its secondary Tuesday by granting cornerback Ricky Manning Jr. his long-sought release and waited to hear from offensive tackle Fred Miller, who has been offered a one-year deal for the minimum-salary benefit at $830,000.
