Training camp for the Detroit Lions officially starts
on Thursday and the team still doesn’t have a
complete roster. First off, out of their eight draft picks, ONLY ONE has signed a deal. Like with most draft picks the Lions expect those deals to fall into place quickly when camp opens, so they’ve kept their focus on former Philadelphia Eagles LB Takeo Spikes.

There has been some speculation recently about the
Detroit Lions adding some veteran players, but the team
really is only considering one player. Linebacker Takeo Spikes, who was in for a visit, is a candidate to be signed because the Lions are unsettled at that position and Spikes was playing well for the Philadelphia Eagles last year before he got hurt.
Two-time Pro Bowl linebacker Takeo Spikes visited the
Detroit Lions this week, a Lions official confirmed to
the Free Press. Spikes became a free agent after he was released by the Philadelphia Eagles in March.
