By Terry McCormick, tmccormick@nashvillecitypaper.com Mike Williams can admit
it now _ the year of football he missed
in 2004 when he unsuccessfully applied for the NFL Draft as a sophomore took its toll on his pro career. Williams and former Ohio ...
The Titans’ decision to draft a fellow Chris
(Chris Johnson) in the first round a few weeks
ago should have been a message heard loud and clear by Chris Henry. Despite being a second round draft selection in 2007, Henry is going to have his work cut out for him as he attempts to become a part of the Titans’ running game next season and beyond.

There was a time, as an angry teenager,

You can go anywhere to read that Darren
McFadden landed in a crowded Oakland backfield, or that
Rashard Mendenhall’s fantasy value takes a hit sharing carries with Willie Parker in the Steel City. Both of these situations are commonly known among average fans. I decided to dig a little deeper, to bring your attention to the fantasy diamonds in the rough of the 2008 NFL Draft
The Tennessee Titans will be holding a minicamp
without defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.
As a result of his contract situation, Albert
Haynesworth won’t be attending the beginning of the Tennessee
Titans’ organized team activities, which start today at Baptist Sports Park. The inability of Haynesworth and the Titans to hammer out a long-term deal continues to be an issue for the team as it heads into the 2008 season.
Haynesworth is not attending the Titans mini-camp in
protest of his contract.
LenDale White has heard the comparisons between his
old college teammate, Reggie Bush, and his new one
in the NFL, Chris Johnson. In time, the Titans running back will be able to say for himself just how similar they might be. But he's excited about ...
The beginning of the 2008 season is months
away and already, the Titans have been given some
bulletin-board material. According to veteran sportswriter Peter King, the Titans are ranked #20 in the first installment of his NFL power rankings for the 2008 season.
For most people, being a professional athlete would
be a great and thoroughly satisfying accomplishment. But for
a lot of professional athletes, it's just not enough. You may have heard about suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Pacman Jones, who recently decided to use his time away from the NFL to focus on a rap career. While Pacman is the latest athlete to give music a shot, he's certainly ...
So Pacman Jones has put his house up
on the market since he's been traded to Dallas
to play for the Cowboys so now one very rich person has a chance to live like Pacman...which by looking at his house , is pretty damn normal. Here's one more picture of this place below, looks nice and spacious, but unless he's already 3/4 moved out already you must have to make way more than Pacman does to ...
In 2008, the Titans, like 2004, are heading
into the season as a playoff team from the
previous year and as a result of the free agency departures of Antwan Odom and Travis LaBoy, they are yet again faced with the task of replenishing the defensive line. By drafting Jason Jones and William “Big Play” Hayes, the Titans hope to once again begin a youth movement at the DE spot.
Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger doesn't carry a
Swiss Army knife, but he now has a player
he can use like one in running back Chris Johnson. As the first-round pick took the field for the first time as a Titan on Friday, Heimerdinger ...
Suspended cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, who was traded
from the Tennessee Titans to the Dallas Cowboys last
week, is not worried about the "laughable claims" of the accused Las Vegas shooter, a source said. Arvin Kenti Edwards, who is charged with shooting three people at a Las Vegas strip club during the 2007 NBA All-Star Weekend, told a Nashville television station that Jones ordered ...
Pacman Jones’ Franklin, Tennessee home is on the
market because he’ll no longer need it now that
he’s taking his game and accusations of ordering shootings to Dallas. Pacman’s family will continue to live in the house ...
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A 29-year-old man arrested for

The Titans welcomed their 2008 draft class to
Nashville on Thursday night for the start of rookie
orientation, the unofficial kickoff to the season. The rookies will be on the field in view of the media for the first time today at Baptist Sports Park. ...
This pick was probably the most surprising one
of the draft. It is not that I
don’t think Hayes will end up being a good player for the Titans, but they probably could have gotten him in the 6 th round. Why they traded up to ...
The too-fast reviews are in. The Titans have
been graded for the players they drafted last weekend,
even though those soon-to-be NFL rookies won't even step on a practice field in uniform until Friday. The grades that matter will come in three years, ...
In our most recent post, we talked about
the money that Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones can earn
under his new four-year contract. But he has to be reinstated before he gets paid. And if the guy whom Jones fingered as the trigger man outside the ...
