The Flyers and recently acquired goalie Martin Biron
say they have a deal in place, which could
be signed sometime today. As Tim Panacchio reports, and we've said before, this is great news for a team lacking identity between the pipes for almost two decades. The contract is said to be set at 2 years for $6.8 million. I guess his wife liked Philly/South Jersey enough to approve the deal. ...
A big factor coming into this series was
whether which, if any, of starting goaltenders Marc-Andre Fleury
and/or Martin Biron would come back down to earth, so to speak, after both having very impressive playoff runs to date.

TIGER WOODS can break it down for you
when he's in a putting groove. A slugger like
Ryan Howard might say the ball looks like a grapefruit when he's seeing the ball well and no one seems to be able to get him out. Basketball players talk about the ...

In some games, the bounces seem to go
your way, and in others they don't. That's one
way you could describe the first game in the second round match up between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens.
They say you can live out your dreams.
In Marty Biron's case, that's what is happening in
these playoffs. In Biron's dream, he is wearing powder blue and white - the colors of the long-forgotten Quebec Nordiques, who left for Colorado in the 1995-96 ...
Two series, two very different stories, two very
disturbing metaphors.
The Eastern Conference Finals between the Philadelphia Flyers
and Pittsburgh Penguins is going to be unbelievable. That
is all I have to say, just unbelievable. If you have any friends or family that don’t watch hockey, sit them down and have them watch this series, they’ll love the sport after seeing it. This series is going to have everything that hockey has to offer.

"It's a little more than I wanted to
