In Mike Cammalleri, Montreal Canadiens Have First True Goal-Scorer in Years

When I think of Mike Cammalleri, a few words come to mind: determination, speed, courage, power, and most of all, goals.
Cammalleri is the first natural goal-scorer the Canadiens have had in over a decade.
There simply hasn't been any one else with the goal-scoring prowess that the new member of the Habs possesses.
He has formed a dynamite first line with Brian Gionta and Scott Gomez, a line that is unfortunately falling apart due to injuries.
However, Cammalleri showed in yesterday's game against the Detroit Red Wings that he doesn't need his American linemates to score, as he potted both of his goals in Saturday's contest against the Detroit Red Wings on a line with Andrei Kostitsyn and Tomas Plekanec.
With a personal record of 39 goals last year, and with 11 goals so far this year, it's certainly within the realm of possibility that Cammalleri will surpass that record.
How long has it been that Habs fans have been able to talk about a player on their team with those kind of numbers? ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NHL, Montreal Canadiens, Michael Cammalleri, Detroit Red Wings

Carey Price Saves Montreal Canadiens from a Catastrophy

The Montreal Canadiens were in Nashville, Tennessee, to face the Predators on Saturday night. The Canadiens played one of the worse game of this decade allowing Nashville to fire 55 times on the net defended by goaltender Carey Price. Price was fantastic in this game as he managed to stop 53 of those 55 shots in this 2-0 loss. I sincerely hope that all the doubts about Carey Price's talent vanished with this performance. As I stated in an article after an humiliating loss in Vancouver: Carey Price is not the problem. Saturday night in Nashville, the team in front of Price simply did not show up. The players were watching the Predators circle around them without lifting a finger. The domination was to a point that the Nashville Predators looked like a powerhouse of the NHL. The lack of effort and character looks to be generalized and everyone knows that you cannot win hockey games on a regular basis without putting some serious effort during practice session and during games. Head coach ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NHL, Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators, Michael Cammalleri, Marc-Andre Bergeron, Brian Gionta
