Niko Kapanen and Steven Reinprecht both scored, but
it was not enough. Goaltender Mikael Tellqvist stopped 17
of 18 shots before he was relieved by David Aebischer. Aebischer faced eight shots and stopped six. Alex Auld had the best preseason statistically and David Aebischer did not. It could be Auld and Mikael Tellqvist for the goaltending tandem for the Coyotes.

Daniel Carcillo had a pair of goals that
included the game winner and Mikael Tellqvist had a
strong outing as the Coyotes beat the Maple Leafs 3-2 Thursday night. Carcillo looks to be fighting hard for one of the available roster spots, and with his strong performance, Tellqvist will make the coaching staff's decision regarding the netminders more difficult.
