UNC Gridiron breakdown: Getting to know Rutgers
UNC Gridiron breakdown: Getting to know Rutgers
I guess as the season comes closer and closer it is now time to begin talking about the opponents of the Tar Heels. I am going to respectfully skip McNeese State, as it is a Division IAA, err, a Football Championship Subdivision, team and I am not going to find much about them, and I know even less of that team. So I will begin with the second game of the season against Rutgers.

UNC vs Appalachian State, not quite yet!
UNC vs Appalachian State, not quite yet!
A little blog caught my eye as I was reading around the ACC blogosphere. It talks about the Appalachian State head coach wanting to play North Carolina. Even stating that coach Jerry Moore has tried to schedule the Tar Heels in his schedule and that Carolina has "balked" at it.

Who should go up on the Carrier Dome's walls next?
I've been reading around the SU blogs that the University of Texas is preparing to retire Kevin Durant's number and that, to some of the Orange bloggers, that makes no sense. While I can understand their points of view, I do not agree with them, at least not entirely.

Anyone who knows me understands ...

“He’s Going To Have A Breakout Year”
“He’s Going To Have A Breakout Year”
"What if I beg? Will that bring old Tony back?" (Boston Globe Photo) Let’s hope so. I’m not sure what can be said about Tony Allen that hasnt’ been said. He’s getting $5 mil. over 2 years… and he’s either going to be a steal or a bona fide bust by the time the contract is over. I don’t see any real middle ground, because we’ve ...

The Hardball Times:National disgrace

Very good article. AEM

Kevin Love has some athleticism after all

I think he is one of the frosh that has no upside. What you see is what you get now (and in years to come). On the other hand I think he is ready for the NBA right now and will be a solid player for quite sometimes. Not a superstar, but a solid player. AEM
