BD is a published writer and hockey blogger. He is one of the founding members of the NY Islander's Blog Box program. He is also the NY Islanders blogger for Hockeybuzz.com. He, along with his Ranger fan blogging brother, created the Sibling Rivalry Rangers vs Islanders blogs. BD has been written up along with his fellow Blog Boxers in Sports Illustrated and SportsBusiness Journal. By day, BD is a technology, design and production guru for a large 100 year old publishing firm in NYC. He awaits to be rescued from his tower by a better paycheck in the world of writing. But until then, he is a chubby, gregarious, and witty fellow stuck in two worlds. In 2008, he will attempt his first fiction novel. So hopefully, he will actually start by 2009. BD's current ego footnote is that John Buccigross knew who he was at the Islanders 2008 Entry Draft Party. That and a box of CrackerJacks gives him a prize. Web Site: B.D. Forget the Sharks vs the Jets. The story
of Nolan vs Snow persists still as the Islanders...
conduct Prospects Camp. Is this a tragic tale? Why is the Isles silent? And who gets to sing: "I feel pretty?"

SATIRE: There is nothing more mind numbingly stupid
than someone wearing Nike golf wear trying to slam...
a sport that surpasses the physical exertion, stress and cardio in about one line shift. A man who hits a ball on a glorified lawn should not be making fun of another sport. He should be thanking god that baby boomers and yuppies with sports frustrations watch TV before their invariable flatline.

The NHL's league minimum rise to 40.7 will
push the Isles to either spend on free agents...
or take on a contract. Also, I chat with Kyle Woodlief, chief scout and publisher of the famous RED LINE REPORT about the Isles draft.

Words from GM Garth Snow is that he
is pretty much finished in free agency. It means...
two things... 1. The Isles still lack someone to punch pucks into the back of the net. 2. The Isles are going to be pushed around and bullied another season because nobody seems to feel the dire urgency to find someone who can take care of business. Doesn't this rebuilt team need some protectors?

Last season, especially after the trade deadline, I
had capitulated that all was not well between Islanders...
Coach Ted Nolan and GM Garth Snow. Former PR guru and VP, Chris Botta, pulls away the curtain by citing it in one of his final blogs post-Isles employment. Come and peer down the rabbit-hole.
