I am new to blogging, but a baseball fan for as long as I can remember. I met my wife on a blind date at a game in 1996 & we celebrated our 10th anniversary in November of last year. She writes on my blog from time to time under the title: Pete's Rose.
By the way, the picture shown is our youngest baseball fan*atic!

Why you ask? Because of Josh Hamilton. That’s
why. SCOTT JACOBS Alright, before we kick this thing
off, let’s play Who Am I. Here we go. I lead the AL in home runs and play for the atrocious Cleveland Indians. Today on Around the Horn, my name was mispronounced. In 2002 I was part of the package the Indians received in exchange for Bartolo Colon. My name is Grady Sizemore
Picks so risky you’ll be saying, ‘did he
really just say that?” SCOTT JACOBS The Indians will
not be in the World Series as I predicted at the start of the year… so who’s got the best shot?… O, cmon, did you really think I was going to answer that in the first line? No way Jose. The White Sox are my darkhorse pick to win the American League At the
It seems as if no one in the
NL West wants first place. It is truly sad
when the Rangers would be in 1st place if after the All Star break if they were in the NL and they’re only 4 games over .500. No NL West team is above .500 as of July

"I personally have never been opposed to trading
within the division," Towers said. "You can't have a
fear of it or it will come back to bite you. If you have confidence in the input you're getting from your people and the player you're getting in return, you're fine."
A little over a month ago, we looked
at the good start of Alexei Ramirez, and tried
our best to divine how he might perform going forward. The task was complicated by the dearth of available stats for the Cuban emigre, and so I wanted to check again on his progress to see if he has kept up the good hitting or faltered.
PHOENIX -- Alfonso Soriano should be back in
the Cubs' lineup tonight -- and not a moment
too soon for frustrated manager Lou Piniella .
