Red Sox Monster is a blog that covers the Boston Red Sox and Major League Baseball in general, incorporating snark, candor, humor and videos. Its author is Dan Lamothe, a Western Massachusetts native who works in media in the Washington, D.C., area.
Dan is a print journalist by trade, and has covered everything from crime and politics to the "rolling rally" in Boston following the Red Sox' 2004 World Series win. He currently works as a military journalist in Northern Virginia, and has seen his work published in The Baltimore Sun, The Military Times newspapers and The Washington Times, among other publications. He started his career at The Republican, the main daily in Western Massachusetts.
