I used to work in leading manufacturing firm in the Philippines as a Regional Sales Manager. Although financially-fulfilling, my heart was never into it. I quit and I have decided to get a second degree on Sports Science.

Sports is my passion. For me, sports is a microcosm of life. It offers success, failure, challenges, competition, drama, adversity, business and even politics. Being involved, playing, watching and reading about sports gave me perspectives on myself, other people and the world in general, that I may not have seen in normal life settings.

Basketball was my first love. Ever since, I saw my first basketball game in 1988 (in our local professional league), I was hooked.

The first televised NBA game that I watched was the 1990 NBA Finals between Detroit and Portland. I always liked the underdog so I went with Portland. They were my first favorite basketball team. Clyde Drexler was my first basketball idol.

I also fell in love with the Houston Rockets during Olajuwon's time. I still feel that if Jordan hadn't left, Chicago would've met their match in Houston.

This is my first blog experience. I hope to share my thoughts on sports to the whole world. I hope that with this, other people will also see the beauty that is sports.

So this was basically trading away an intriguing ... (more) To All Spurs and Houston Fans: What do you think of the ...
2007 Draft Review
ballhype.com — Here's the follow-up to my first story...my take on what transpired on draft night: BIG WINNER Golden... State : They get the length they needed at the front with Brandan Wright. He fits in, as well, as another finisher for the high octane GS attack. The "Belinelli to Nellie" storyline will be joked around for a quite a while =) but this pick aint no joke at all. ... My Own NBA Mock Draft
ballhype.com — I've seen many mock drafts since the lottery til today and just by the sheer number of... variations of these mocks, saying this draft is loaded is an understatement. And after the numerous workouts (or lack thereof for some players) and interviews and trade talks, it's getting clearer and cloudier at the same time. Well, a day into the draft, i finally can post my own mock draft (only now, ... (more) My Own NBA Mock Draft
