I'm originally from Australia, but live in the UK and love the NBA... but not just the NBA, all basketball. It's from this unique perspective that I try to follow everything from the Australian NBL, to Euro leagues to NBA. I used to run a blog called RGB : Rose Garden Blog, but have moved onto A Stern Warning to have a more well-rounded view on basketball, without showing so much of my Blazers bias!

Definition of insanity: "Mike gave the option to
play," Marbury said. "He couldn't come to me man
to man and say, `You have to play.' It was an option."
The NBA All-Star Game of 1989 was one
full of stars. It had MJ, it had Sir
Charles Barkley, the Mailman, the Human Highlight Film, Clyde the Glide, Zeke and even Kareem. The game did lack a certain Bird and Magic touch, but apart from that, what more could you ask for as an NBA fan? In the ...
The Portland Trail Blazers made a real statement
with their 101-86 victory over the New Orleans Hornets
at the Rose Garden last night. This was about proving that they belong as a playoff team -- one that will make some noise. In what was a tight game throughout, the Blazers refused to ...

On today's show (which is dated incorrectly), Tas
and I discuss where the Pacers rank after beating
the league's best teams, which conference is truly superior, how the Pistons are coming along and the state of Gary Payton's collar.
This little tyke is putting in some solid
performances in the past week when paired with Kidd
in backcourt.
Jerry Brown of the East Valley Tribune :
“Since Steve Nash returned to Phoenix in the summer
of 2004, the Suns have been searching for an understudy to keep the team pointed north while he rested. It has been a fruitless pursuit. Joe Johnson wanted to be the star. Leandro Barbosa and ...

Wales Has Disappeared, According to FIFA ‘09 - World Cup Blog - Euro 2008
I always find it hilarious when computer games (primarily EA by default) mess up international teams in games. It's the best way to alienate an entire country from buying your stuff!!
HMS - Aussie Basketball Style
It's a sad reality in the domestic Aussie basketball scene at the moment, that we would have to even consider relying on something like High School Musical to boost its popularity. Our international teams (men and women) punch well above their weight, but getting people to turn up to club matches seems to have been a major struggle. Reform is ...
