I'm retired and have decided to try taking myself seriously as an NBA blogger. My focus is usually on head-to-head fantasy basketball, but I comment on the NBA in general. I am crazy for the young uber-athletes who are transforming the NBA. Prediction: Demar DeRozan will star one year in college, go high lotto in the NBA draft, and in the slam dunk contest his first time out. Based on statistics that aren't readily available to
the average fan, this article looks at whether it's
true that the Rocket's don't involve Yao Ming in their offense as much as they should. Surprisingly only Dwight Howard is a more central to his team's offense than Yao.

A clear and concise discussion of the real
probability that the Knicks will have enough cap space
to sign a max contract super star like LeBron James in the 2010 free agent bonanza. They have work to do like clearing Eddy Curry's bad contract, or not re-signing guys like David Lee and Nate Robinson.

Don't write this off as a cap related
move that only benefits the Thunder on the court.
Nolaman muses that Wilcox and Smith give the Hornets needed bench depth, versatility since both are F/Cs, and a toughness they lacked with Chandler.

How do you decide which college phenoms have
that elusive " It " factor that leads to
NBA stardom. Let's face it, part of It is ego, unbridled arrogant, in-your-face ego. I had that thought when I saw this dunk by Blake Griffin: But it also brought to mind an even more relevant discussion of ...

These days bad and expiring contacts grease the
wheels of many an NBA trade. Nolaman muses about
Raef LaFrentz and his expiring $12 million dollar contract and what it could bring the Blazers. Meanwhile the Hornets have no bad contracts and no good options for acquiring that missing piece.
