My name is Steven Niciforo and I am 17 years old and my passion in life is the great sport of hockey. My dream is to one day be a professional sportscaster and to be to be deeply involved the sport whose tagline was once "The Coolest Game On Earth". I am from East Islip, New York and I am a die hard New York Islanders fan. Nothing means more to me in life than that team in the orange and blue and of course the great game they play. My passion for hockey started when I was about 12 or 13 but I have always been a big fan of the sport my entire life. Ever since I was a child I had an interest in the game largely in part because of my cousin Timmy, and also because of my cousin Chip (#16 on the FDNY hockey team) and my father, who has witnessed countless historic moments in Islander history in person, including Game 6 of the 1980 Stanley Cup Finals. My favorite player of all-time is Patrick Flatley and my fav team of all time is the 1993 Islanders. My favorite sportscasters of hockey are Jiggs McDonald and Howie Rose.
