Seattle ready for war in second leg

Seattle Sounders FC are ready to get on with it. With the first leg of their Western Conference Semifinal Series with the Houston Dynamo, a scoreless tie, played last Thursday night, the team enjoyed a weekend off followed by an entire week of training.

No Sounders FC practice today, but thanks to the Dynamo press crew that really does a nice job, I've learned that Houston's home field is down to upper level end zone and sideline seats. The stadium holds 32,000, and having been there, I like it. Some nice palm trees in the corners, good view of everything from the press box and easy parking very close by. The orange of the Dynamo kind of clashes with the Houston Cougar red, though.

Inter Milan scored twice within four minutes Wednesday to beat Dynamo Kiev 2-1 and top Group F in the Champions League. Inter striker Diego Milito equalized in the 86th minute after Andriy Shevchenko had give Dynamo Kiev the lead in the 21st. But Wesley Sneijder pounced on a goalkeeping error to hit the winning goal in the 89th. Inter leads with six points, one more than Rubin Kazan and defending champion Barcelona, which drew 1-1 on Wednesday. Dynamo Kiev is last with four points.
