The entry of Chivas USA into MLS three years ago caused a big stir in the league, primarily because of the money and exposure involved in such a move. Chivas of Guadalajara is one of the storied clubs of Mexican soccer and their passionate fan base is locked into their club because of its policy of only signing Mexican players.
