An interesting take on the Chivas USA's short
history. The entry of Chivas USA into MLS three
years ago caused a big stir in the league, primarily because of the money and exposure involved in such a move. Chivas of Guadalajara is one of the storied clubs of Mexican soccer and their passionate fan base is locked into their club because of its policy of only signing Mexican players.

"Asilo al Futbol", which traces the young career of
Chivas USA's Maykel Galindo, a breakout star of MLS in 2007. --- The film depicts his defection to the U.S. (while here playing for Cuba), and his rise within the ranks of U.S. soccer (Chivas USA went further in '07 than they had previously, finishing as West's winningest team; he was a big part.)

first MLS goal) to give the Chicago Fire a
