regional Cup holders - friendly at Chicago's Soldier Field
- USA scored first in the match, which was later tied 2-2 in the closing minutes. Both teams brought their top players to please the large crowd on hand. Goal-scorers included Clint Dempsey, Carlos Bocanegra, and Ronaldinho.
