In The Red Zone - 12/2
SOX & Dawgs — The New England Patriots were staring at a golden opportunity to improve their playoff standing and chances with a big win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday but the team came up flat and empty and got routed in a turnover laden loss at Gillette Stadium.  Now the team will try to once again break out of it’s win one/lose one run as it travels west on Friday to face the Seattle Seahawks this weekend at Qwest Field.  The team will then stay on the West Coast as they prepare to face the Raiders in Oakland the following Sunday.  Hopefully this two week western swing works out better than the last one as they really need wins in both ...

NFL Predictions - Week 13
pastthepylon.blogspot.com 11/30/2008 — When Sunday rolls around, Week 13 will be in full swing with already 3 games in the book. Though there was not much competition over the Thanksgiving holiday, the playoff picture should start to settle down some this weekend.
Making Sense of the AFC East Playoff PictureMajor League Jerk
Why did you have to get hurt? To prove that there is no God? I already knew that. With the Jets loss on Sunday, and the subsequent victories by the Pats and Dolphins, there is now a three way tie in the AFC East (remember when the Bills were supposedly going to run away with this ...
Jets are imploding in front of our eyesThe Scores Report - The National Sports Blog
Three weeks ago the New York Jets were the talk of the NFL after they beat the previously unbeaten Tennessee Titans. But they were crushed at home by the Denver Broncos last week and on Sunday were rather surprisingly beaten by the San Francisco 49ers 24-14 . What the hell happened? The ...
Saints find offensive balance, keep postseason hopes aliveThe Scores Report - The National Sports Blog
New Orleans Saints’ head coach Sean Payton was rightfully criticized throughout the week for not maintaining enough offensive balance this season. While the Saints statistically rank as the best offense in the league, they entered Sunday’s game against the Falcons as a 6-6 team with slim ...

Do the Giants miss Plaxico Burress now?The Scores Report - The National Sports Blog
When the New York Giants placed wide receiver Plaxico Burress on the non-injury football list earlier this week and effectively ended his season, everyone said all the right things. The players said they could win with or without him and the media said the Giants were all about the team – both ...

Arizona Cardinals News: NFC Playoff Picture Week 14Full of Sports
We missed the playoff picture last week because of the short turnaround but we're back in action this week. Two straight losses have kept the Arizona Cardinals from clinching the NFC West but there's not much changed in their playoff seeding. Here's ho...

Are the Vikings who we thought they were? The Scores Report - The National Sports Blog

Let’s stop anointing Matt Cassel the next Tom BradyThe Scores Report - The National Sports Blog
Coming off two 400-plus yard passing games, the mainstream media was ready to crown Matt Cassel MVP of the world and anoint him the next Tom Brady. But as the Pittsburgh Steelers proved in their 33-10 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, maybe everyone should relax and let the rest of ...
