The #1 on the list is a Blockbuster.

It's something that was true before Beckham, too.

Galaxy has had big attendances 4-eva.

    Thanks.

That's why I made it number one. It's important but also among the least known of the stats I listed.

If you want to talk 'blockbuster', let's all trust that Beckham starts season with a bang (to 'alert the media') and then that the media in general then 'wakes up' and takes notice of all MLS more this season...

I am a sports promoter in southern California and I am still amazed how much of the news media ignores soccer - as big as it is here and has been so big here for so long.

good tutorial in the 10 points made there.  I like the last line in the piece - I agree that those news people who ignore soccer will be left in the dust -  fans will only respect those who do well covering it

I know that in Chicago the guys are as known as any athletes in Chitown.  The news still ignores them more than they should.  Even with Blanco.

Fire may well be the best team in Chitown this year.  Things with the news people will change for better if that happens.  Especially with Blanco.

I know that United is doing great at RFK, and that place was packed for the MLS Cup.  That place has been made extra nice for MLS soccer.

Let us help you out, and make sure you know what is going down in the world of sports. NBA Commissioner, David Stern, REALLY wants the league to get exposure in the Europe. Perhaps MLS is more popular than we thought; however, I still can’t seem to find anybody that watches it. Sometimes, when teams keep losing, they have to develop imaginary teammates they wish they could win with. Hideki Matsui apparently married a civilian and drew a lovely picture of her for ...

Ten Facts That Might Be Wrong: Part 2
Published 4/1/2008 by Precious Roy at Unprofessional Foul
Ugh, am I going to have to come up with a snazzy intro every time I do this? I hope not. Instead maybe just look here. Basically, that author of that post, Ric, made 10 claims, claims which on the surface seemed a little counter to what the average person—whoever that is—might think. I'm all for bucking conventional wisdom, but without any data to back it up, the facts were kind of hard to believe on face value. And apparently with good reason. So I stupidly decided to do the work. Part 1 is here. This is Part 2. Welcome. And it deals ...
