ANOTHER THURSDAY, ANOTHER GAME

Also, several readers have pointed out that the video of Jets coach Eric Mangini’s recent description of the “friendly, good-natured rivalry” between the franchise occurred with tongue (or perhaps a couple of donuts) planted firmly in his cheek.  (But that’s one of the risks of using Bob Newhart humor in a press conference; sometimes, the joke doesn’t come through when the words land on paper.) Earlier this week, Pats defensive lineman Ty Warren even described Mangini as “ Fredo ,” which is actually pretty damn funny.  And we don’t think Warren was kidding.

Football Outsiders — ... was whether this is the NFL's greatest rivalry right now. I'm not sure, but I do know that Ty Warren calling Eric Mangini "Fredo" on WEEI was pretty damned funny.
