MLS produced a neat map showing the birthplaces of its players. See the PDF. See that big hole in Central America? That's Nicaragua, not known as a soccer power. But look a little to the left for another blank space. That's the home of Mauricio Cienfuegos, Raul Diaz Arce and Ronald Cerritos. Seems a little strange to see that space blank, doesn't it?
