by Martin Rogers: The San Jose Earthquakes were quick to get rid of their No. 1 overall selection in the MLS SuperDraft, dealing it to the Kansas City Wizards for veteran defender Nick Garcia. The move makes sense for the Wizards, who are set to lose Eddie Johnson to Fulham of the English Premier League and will likely try to replace him with Virginia Tech's Patrick Nyarko as the first pick.
